my name is pessi hensley. i'm a 17 year old multimedia artist. my primary focus currently is digital illustrations and comics, but much of the content you will see her may also be traditional comics, as that tends to come easier to me (especially during school). i have been drawing since i was too young to remember. i have always wanted to make comics, and that is my ultimate goal in life. many of my comics have been in the works since even 2017! when you work on something for so long, it becomes very convoluted, so it takes me a while to get anything coherent out. i'm hoping to introduce a new format of storytelling to the world, and i hope it makes enough sense for anybody to enjoy. representation is also a big drive of my work, and i hope to depict a very diverse range of people; i know seeing yourself in a story is very important and impactful, and it's all i want to bring to other people. i want my work to mean something. that being said....
many of my comics will include sensitive subjects, such as:
- drug/substance use, abuse, and addiction
- transphobia, homophobia, overall bigotry (but primarily these listed)
- explicit depictions of self harm (via cutting, burning, hitting, substance abuse)
- depictions of rape, (child) sexual assault & abuse
- child abuse in the form of neglect, physical, emotional & verbal
